Project 2 - Initial Shoot

I hung around Lambton Quay during a late afternoon to try and snap photos of people walking, in order to convey the idea of the busy lifestyle that is common in an urban environment. It was a good time to take pictures like that because everyone was heading home from work.

I mainly wanted to show the rush of the people and how everyone seems to be in such a hurry; it is the exploration of the fast-paced lifestyle many city-folk are currently living in.

Later, I took a night-time picture of an apartment building through which I intended to further communicate the urban concept. Living communally in boxes stacked vertically; people's homes have been evolving based on this notion. Architecture and futuristic building design are rapidly incorporating this idea for more sustainable living in the tightly-resourced future of humanity.

Personally I am happy with my initial shoot on Lambton Quay because there are two or three pictures from there that I thought communicated my idea extremely well. But I will hopefully go back and shoot some more pictures for a second shoot.
